Ace of Hacks. Code of Conduct
Ace of Hacks is dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful experience for all attendees,regardless of their gender, race, ethnicity, religion, age, sexual orientation, or disability.
Expected Behavior and Responsibilities:
- Treat others with respect and dignity, regardless of differences in opinion, background, or experience.
- Refrain from engaging in any behavior that is discriminatory, harassing, or offensive, including but not limited to verbal or physical abuse, sexual harassment, or discrimination based on gender, race, ethnicity, religion, age, sexual orientation, or disability.
- Refrain from engaging in disruptive behavior that interferes with others ability to enjoy the Hackathon, including but not limited to yelling, throwing objects, or being excessively loud.
- Refrain from engaging in any illegal activities.
- Respect the privacy of others by not taking photos or videos of attendees without their consent and not sharing their personal information without permission.
- Follow the instructions of Hackathon staff and organizers.
The following behaviors will considered unacceptable and will not be tolerated:
Attendees should responsibly report any code of conduct violation to the organizer or volunteers. Below mentioned are a few unexpected behaviors. Nevertheless, the leaders may investigate unethical
conduct not listed below.
- Discriminatory or harassing behavior of any kind, including but not limited to verbal or physical abuse, sexual harassment, or discrimination based on gender, race, ethnicity, religion, age, sexual orientation, or disability.
- Disruptive behavior that interferes with others ability to enjoy the Hackathon, including but not limited to yelling, throwing objects, or being excessively loud.
- Offensive behavior such as bullying, intimidation, or the use of offensive language or gestures.
- Illegal activities of any kind.
How to Report
If you experience or witness any behavior that violates the code of conduct, please report it
immediately to a Hackathon staff member or organizer. You can also report incidents anonymously through the Hackathon's reporting system.
Response to Violations
The Hackathon staff and organizers reserve the right to take any action necessary to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all attendees. If an attendee violates the code of conduct, the Hackathon staff or organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including but not limited to:
- Verbal warning
- Expulsion from the Hackathon without refund
- Revocation of future Hackathon attendance
- Legal action, if applicable
By attending the Ace of Hacks, you agree to adhere to this code of conduct. We strive to provide a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all attendees and will not tolerate any behavior that violates this code of conduct.
